Philosophi is a sibling of the successful Phia Salon in the Short North Arts District, Philosophi can be enjoyed by everyone, but was created with the needs of those who are gluten-sensitive in mind. At Philosophi our hair color and retail products are either entirely gluten free or are formulated without gluten. Our professional staff is also committed to the gluten-aware environment.

Our clients and staff say it all. Their happiness has proven the success of the Phia Salon concept. We’ve blended the excitement, support, and development potential of larger companies and salons, with an entrepreneurial spirit of a small, locally-owned company. The result has been consistently recognized nationally among Salon Today's Salon 200.

We are proud to partner with Davines for both color and retail. We love their extraordinary quality, unbending commitment to the environment, and B-Corp status. Davines color is infused with plant pigments, palm oil and quinoa proteins, and the products are second-to-none. In the rare instance where there is a result that cannot be obtained with Davines color or retail product, we are pleased to have access to Aveda, Pulp Riot, and Pravanna.

You’ll be welcomed into our upscale, yet down-to-earth salon environment. Your stylists will be in contact with you before, during, and after your visit to ensure you’ve received the best experience and service.

Before coming into the salon, your stylist will be in communication with you about your goals for your service, and the salon will send you a virtual appointment confirmation (unless you choose to opt out).

When you arrive, you’ll receive a thorough consultation where you can be completely candid, outlining your budget, time constraints, goals, or concerns. You’ll then be given a written plan including expected outcomes, time estimates, and price. This plan forms the agreement for your service.

Inspire us!Bring in photos or anything that you draw inspiration from, to share with your stylist and spark creativity.

We respect your time. Please let us know if your service begins more than 5 minutes after your scheduled time, or we need to meet a specific time frame

This is your time to pamper yourself. Receive a Complimentary Optional Moment of Pampering (COMP) to unwind with every designer hair cut or color service. You can choose from a hand/arm massage, scalp/shoulder massage, mini-facial, or anything with an on our menu.

We guarantee our work. Receive a complimentary adjustment within 10 days of service if the expected outcome is not delivered. Please contact us immediately if anything is not perfect.

Enhance your new look! Enhance your new look! Our staff is knowledgeable on which tools and products to use in order to care for your new cut and/or color. We can recommend specific products that will work best for you, or we will help you with the products you have at home.

Pre-book. You can book your next visit at the time of your service. If you’d like a specific day, time, or stylist, pre-booking helps ensure that we are able to accommodate your preference. You are welcome to modify, or cancel your appointment without a fee for up to 72 hours prior to your appointment.

Find your perfect match. Our goal is for you to find your perfect match within our salon. Our Open Stylist Policy gives you the option to book with different stylists until you find the right one for you.
